Another high-scoring match took place at Largs Walking Football session last Monday with former Thistle player Kenny Lynn inspiring the Light Blues to a comfortable 10-7 victory over The Reds.
Talking point was when Bill Collins stood on his own laces and fell over. Thereafter, possibly concussed, he managed to miss five sitters in the space of 15 minutes which deprived Reds of a barrowload of goals.
The Blues, with twin towers Gerry Begley and Mike Orobczuk giving little away at the back, capitalised through Lynn's precise passing and shooting.
Wemyss Bay whippet Ian Taylor gave his Reds colleagues a tongue-lashing for their profligacy in front of goal. Only Peter Grant escaped criticism as his penalty was blocked but Angus Bowes netted the consolation rebound.
Monday sessions continue from 1 to 2pm with the regular Wednesday session from 11 to 12, supervised by SFA coach Craig Hamilton. They take place in the Weir indoor astroturf centre at Inverclyde Sports Centre where the £2 fee can be paid at reception. Newcomers welcome; contact drew.cochrane@sky.com for further details.
