Largs Thistle 3 Hurlford United 2
Thistle won their first home encounter against Hurlford in five years after an incredible tussle at Barrfields Park.
Thistle were two goals to the good after two spot kicks courtesy of Scott Adam after Adam had been brought down by Ford keeper Chris Murchie, and Ben Black was also chopped down in the box after a smart move.
Hurlford pulled a goal back with a quick fire header from Liam Caddis before winning a penalty themselves after a Lundy foul in the box converted by Caddis. 2-2 at half-time.
The East Ayrshire side were increasing the pressure early in the second half with Lundy having to come to the rescue and a few desperate clearances.
In an incredible finish to this game, Thistle created several chances to net a winner with Murchie making a series of top quality saves before Black scored the clincher on 85 minutes after Will Sewell's shot was blocked on the line by the keeper.
The drama was not over as yellow cards were being dished out to both teams even though it wasn't a particularly dirty game - with goal hero Ben Black shocked to see a red card for a second caution.
After four and a half minutes of injury time, the referee finally blew the full-time whistle to spark the Thistle celebrations.
Largs manager Stuart Davidson praised the squad for another terrific home victory at Barrfields.
He said: "The boys kept pushing to the end and really showed their quality in the end. I am delighted we got all three points. I don't think the Ben Black's second yellow was a foul so he was unlucky to see red there."
