Cumnock 2 Largs Thistle 2

Thistle's young side never gave up as they battled for a hard earned point at Cumnock with the pivotal moment coming early in the second half.

At 2-1 Largs on 49 minutes, Cumnock keeper Ally Semple took down Will Sewell after a high ball into the penalty box.

Livewire Sewell was injured and had to be taken off as Largs top scorer Scott Adam's spot kick richocheted off Semple's legs and to safety. It was tough on Adam who had been influential in Thistle's opening goal and never stopped running all night long. See clip below

Under the floodlights, Cumnock rallied and equalised as Largs keeper Ross Lundy made a series of top quality stops to deny the home side.

There were torrential downpours throughout the match but Largs got off to a flyer on 18 minutes as George Sewell raced on to Adam's sure-footed pass to the right and slid the ball under the keeper. 1-0.

Cumnock equalised on 31 minutes through sub Kemoe who finished off a quick passing move by rushing through the centre to clip the ball past the outrushing Lundy.

Thistle moved 2-1 up on 43 minutes as Cumnock were caught out by fast running Will Sewell who supplied Craig Forces to tap into an empty net after drawing out the keeper. See goal below

The dramatic penalty incident happened early in the second half, and Cumnock's concerted pressure yielded an equaliser on 69 minutes as Murdoch bulleted home a header from a corner.

Largs keeper Lundy made some top quality saves to keep Cumnock out while Thistle had a few late forays forward with a few dangerous crosses but no takers.
