Thistle boss Stuart Davidson has warned against complacency as Largs look to bounce back from defeat to Auchinleck when they take on Rossvale.
Largs are favourites this weekend up against the newly-promoted side, who picked up an impressive win at Clydebank early doors this season.
Rossvale have struggled since their surprise win over Clydebank, suffering five defeats out of six in their league campaign.
The Bishopbriggs outfit have brought in a new in ex-Auchinleck Talbot and Ayr United player Dave Gormley after Gordon Moffat’s recent departure to take over at Clydebank.
However, Davidson pointed out that Rossvale only lost 1-0 to Hurlford United on Saturday, and Largs will need to be at their best to get maximum points.
He said: “There will certainly be no complacency from us. I watched Rossvale beat the Bankies. I was very impressed with their workrate they had a bit of quality on the ball and fought for each other.
“It is another tough game but we are looking to get a victory after losing to Auchinleck last week. I am sure Rossvale will be looking to impress their new manager but it represents a good opportunity for us to get some points back on the table.”
Will Sewell suffered with a back problem towards the end of the Talbot encounter, while Ben Black has received an ankle knock, and Thistle will assess matters before next Saturday.
Davidson said: “We never gave ourselves a chance with the goals we lost — they were pretty poor. If you give Auchinleck a sniff of an opportunity then they are going to punish you.”
