Newcomer Steve Goldie made a big impression on his debut at the weekly Largs walking football by hitting a first half hat trick for The Reds this week.

Steve got his first two goals in the first two minutes but, in a thrilling contest at the Weir indoor astroturf centre, The Yellow Vests hit back for a 6-6 draw.

Another debutant, Gordon Lawson played solidly at the back for the Yellows who were marshalled by Gerry Begley who can feel pleased at his team selections.

Italian player, Stefano, got in on the scoring action as did youngster Gary Whiteman, hitting the final equaliser.

Former Largs Thistle player Kenny Lynn was a star man for the Yellows while John Urie was a constant danger man for the Reds.

The walking footballers meet on Monday and Wednesday at the Inverclyde Sports Centre.
