Largs Thistle's 1-0 defeat to Rossvale was a real disappointment and one I didn't see coming after the great win over Irvine Meadow.
Manager Stuart Davidson is building a team and Thistle need to put that result behind them as quickly as possible with the visit of league leaders Kilwinning this weekend.
I believe all games at Barrfields for Largs are winnable but a big performance is needed from the players. There is no doubt about that.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:
Kilwinning showed what a good side they are in the reverse fixture last month - and Largs need another performance like the Irvine Meadow display if they are going to get the three points.
In the senior Scottish Cup, Auchinleck were unlucky not to see off Arbroath with the Championship side equalising late on in the game. There was to be no shock in the replay though as Arbroath eased to victory in the second half.
Just looking at the results in the Scottish Cup overall, it says to me we should have a pyramid system in place.
Lower league teams have been holding their own - just look at BSC beating East Fife, Bonnyrigg overcoming Montrose and Brora earning a replay against Greenock Morton.
Another great result with a Largs connection was Queens Park winning 2-0 against Queen of the South in Dumfries.
Nicky Jamieson and Creag Little, who signed from Largs at the start of the season, featured for Queens Park in the victory, and now have a Scottish Cup tie away to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park to relish.
After the cup results at the weekend, it proves to me that the powers at be need to get a full pyramid introduced.
Let’s get some freshness into our senior leagues.
I feel it would increase the competitiveness, attract more sponsorship, improve the facilities and all things the junior game needs.
* Scotland have given themselves a real chance of qualifying for a major tournament for the first time since 1998.
It is the first time in a while since we got back to back victories. The 2-1 win in Cyprus was welcome, and although we made heavy weather of Kazakhstan in the first half, we did really well in the second half and could have won by more than 3-1.
We have a one leg tie in front of home supporters at Hampden - you would be thinking we would manage the semi no problem.
The final will be away to Serbia or Norway - it is an entirely different prospect but in a one-off game we could do it.
Norway earned a hard fought point at home to Spain in the qualifiers and have not lost in Oslo for three years - but records are made to be broken.
* I was sorry to miss the Largs Thistle get-together on Saturday night at Nardini's.
It is remarkable to think it is 25 year ago since we won both the Scottish Cup and the league - it was a terrific achievement.
I heard that manager John Crawford had some nice things to say about me in his speech - that was good of him.
The players have kept a very special bond all these years - and it was great that the club hosted a celebration in their honour.
