Walking football is back in action at Inverclyde Sports Centre in Largs with two weekly sessions.

On Monday there was a thriller as the 'mature' players had a 7-7 draw in the Weir indoor astroturf.

Sprightly 70 year old Johnny Urie popped up with a hat-trick for the reds before team-mate Chris McClenaghan followed suit with three goals and ex-Winton Rovers captain Stevie Craig displayed his silky skills to bag another, all for the Reds.

However, trailing by four goals at one point the irrepressible Yellows fought back with father and son Jim and Gary Whiteman sharing some goals..and a few arguments about who was playing better...and sharpshooter Stevie Gold nabbed his usual brace to pull it level, under the watchful eye of referee Pat Rall.

The sessions take place on Monday from 1 to 2pm, and Wednesday from 11am to 12, all for a £2 fee at reception.
