Are you up for the Padel challenge?
An open day competition event is taking place at Stevenston Industrial Estate's West of Scotland Padel Centre on 21/22 March.
The event is to allow new and existing padel or racket sports players, the chance to come along to the friendly club, see the unique-to-Scotland facilities, and compete at a variety of levels or just have coffee and cake.
Very popular in Spain and South America, padel has high profile fans including Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Celtic's legendary striker Henrik Larsson, and involves a similar game to tennis surrounded by four glass walls, with the ball allowed to bounce off the back glass, ensuring longer rallies. It uses the same scoring system as tennis.
