Largs Thistle's Wednesday night fixture at Rutherglen has not beaten the weather as the Barrfields club look forward to hosting Blantyre Victoria on Saturday.

Blantyre have agreed to forfeit home advantage on Saturday with the game instead being played at Barrfields for a 1.45pm kick-off.

Largs skipper Scott Adam said: "You have to earn your luck in this league - and I feel we didn't do enough to earn our chances on Saturday in our goalless draw with Rossvale.

"We were maybe hoping rather than creating, maybe off a set-piece, and I don't think we merited enough to warrant a goal.

"We have a lot of young players and we are still learning - Premier League games are always going to be tough but we have to look at bouncing back by getting full points against Blantyre Vics who came up.

"We have to still keep picking up results which we have done in the last four games - and it is important we do that - we showed that we could stand up and be counted against Kilwinning.

"It is good having Keir Milliken back, and we know each other's game well, but we didn't do enough to unlock the door against Rosssvale so we will be looking to make amends as soon as possible.

"Rossvale were well organised and they were hard to break down - you need to take a chance early so they need to come out a bit - it is also about the older lads in the team and we need to lead the way and against Blantyre hopefully we can do that."
