Largs Thistle recorded a superb 3-1 win over high-flying Blantyre Vics thanks to a magnificent hat-trick from skipper Scott Adam.
It was a second half salvo as the Thistle striker netted on 51, 64 and 77 minutes, but it was far from plain sailing for the Barrfields side as Blantyre never gave up, and indeed, Largs keeper Jamie McGowan had to save a penalty kick.
The match was classed as an away game after Blantyre forfeited their home advantage for the encounter in the PDM Buildbase West of Scotland Football League Premier Division.
