In this week's Off the Wall column, George Wall praises the volunteers and management at Largs Thistle for keeping the club in action during 2020...

Well what a year this has been.
Football has really suffered. My hat goes off to the Largs Thistle committee who have worked incredibly hard, the management team and the players for continuing in such difficult circumstances.
The old junior league did not finish the way it should have, it would have been nice to celebrate the move to the WoSFL but it was not to be.
It must have been a hard decision for the club to continue in the league especially with high profile clubs like Kilbirnie, Auchinleck Talbot and Pollok pulling out.
Let’s hope the lack of revenue does not have lasting damage on the club and effect their future plans.
The Largs manager Stuart Davidson has put together what looks like a very good squad.
In my opinion he could do with another proven goalscorer, but what team wouldn’t.
It must be very difficult for “Arnie” to keep himself motivated never mind his team. He deserves a lot of credit for that.
A draw versus Beith was not the worst result and based on the highlights probably a fair result but I am looking for Largs to take full points from all their home games.
