Thistle match winner Jack Haggerty said the team are buzzing after last week's 2-1 win over Ardrossan Winton Rovers - and scored a scintillating goal to light up proceedings and give the fans a rousing cheer.

It was the first time in nearly 500 days since supporters had something to shout about at Barrfields - and everyone left happy and singing the praises of Haggerty who impressed in his 45 minute spell in the first half on Saturday.
Jack said: " It was brilliant - 497 days without playing in front of a crowd. I played for Largs Thistle last season and wasn't able to experience playing in front of a crowd.
"I loved it - even in the warm-up there was a different wee buzz with the supporters there.

"Getting the goal was magic and it is something I always try to work on when I am on the left hand side - it is great when it comes off like that specially on our first game back and it was great to give the supporters a lift after they have been waiting so long for a game.
"I was disappointed not to score the 30 yarder just after that - I thought when I left my foot it was going to be like the goal against Kilwinning last season but it came back off the bar.
"It was a good game in the tank, and we go again on Thursday.
"The tackles were flying in and I think it was just because we have waited for so long to play.
"Even though they are friendlies I think all the boys are just treating it as competitive."
It was a game in which manager Stuart Davidson rung the changes and made sure everyone in the squad got some game time with a series of substitutions at half-time, although one change was imposed after skipper Scott Adam was taken off in the first half with injury.
