Thistle boss Stuart Davidson told the News that he was delighted to welcome Sewell back to the fold - and praised the club for helping to make the move happen.

He said: "Will went to Stenhousemuir when Stephen Swift was in charge, and Will probably didn't play as much as he'd like to - he has scored a few goals and from what I gather he was quite highly rated through there but the new manager had his own ideas and Will wasn't getting the game time he wanted and as soon as we knew that he was available we made the swoop.
"There is a really good feeling about Barrfields right now - and welcoming Will back on Saturday was the icing on the cake.
"We have had more help behind the scenes, and more sponsors coming on board - and it is great to see.
"I keep saying to the players that side of it is great and we want to win on the park to thank these people for coming in to help."
"And sure enough - it was a fantastic 4-0 win for us on Saturday.
"We came out the traps very early and we had a fantastic first 25 minutes and blew Petershill away with good goals and energy about the way we played."
"Petershill dug in and made it difficult for us in the second half but we still worked hard and on another day we could have scored a few more.
"It was pretty similar to the recent Arthurlie game in that we got the early goals and it helped the players to relax.

"The first goal saw Scott Lewis take a ball over the top from Simon McBryde and took a touch before a composed finish from 15 yards, and then there was another cracking through ball from McBryde and Lewis fired it into the corner.
"It was a typical third goal from Laurie McMaster as he just came down the left and linked up with a 1-2, and the cut inside on the right, and fired it low into the net. It was a good goal from Laurie and it is tremendous having him back in the side - this was his best performance yet.
"David Ramsay took advantage after a wee stramash in the the box and the ball broke to him and he scored a similar goal to the one he scored at Cumnock a few weeks ago."
"We were unlucky not to get another couple of goals with Scott Lewis denied his hat-trick by the woodwork and Stuart Faulds also hitting the post."
And in further welcome news, both midfielders Dario Nimmo and David McGrath came off the bench after long term injuries.
