Largs Thistle's position is the Premier Division is looking much healthier, with Stuart Davidson's men now in sixth place after last week's 1-0 win away to Darvel.

At the start of the season based on what I watched in pre season friendlies I wrote they should be there or there abouts. Is this a season of “what if” for Largs? Have they under achieved? I think so.

One player who was a big miss when he was injured earlier in the campaign was goalkeeper Joe Wilton, so it's good to see he has signed for next season. Largs, though, will still have a say in who finishes top, with Beith and Auchinleck among their opponents in the final few weeks of the season.

I thought St Cadoc's would struggle after winning promotion last season, but under their manager Martin Fellowes, who has impressed me, they are doing really well and they could still win it. With their 6-0 win against Irvine Meadow last week, they basically put the final nail in the relegation coffin for the 'Medda'. Despite St Cadoc's good form, though, I am tipping Beith to win the title.

Rangers v Celtic at the weekend was an exciting game, but why does every player feel the need to go down looking for fouls after being tackled? There's too much of it happening.

Then you had VAR making the decisions. On the two big decisions, the penalty to Rangers and the goal disallowed for Rangers, the ref was in a perfect position to see both incidents. So why did he get these big calls wrong?

Rangers, I think, will be happier with the result coming back from 2-0 down. It has certainly whetted the appetite for what should be a exciting end to the season.

I watched the Man Utd v Liverpool game on TV on Sunday too, another exciting game with no controversy and much less of players going down easily.

I thought a draw was a fair result. It looks like it’s going go to be a gripping end to the season in England too with the top three Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City only separated by just one point. I would like to see Arsenal winning it.

With the Euros coming up it was sad to see only two Scottish players starting in the Rangers v Celtic game.

Is there that much lack of talent in Scottish players that our top two clubs don’t sign them?
