WITH Wimbledon just around the corner, Skelmorlie Tennis Club is inviting people to come along and try out the sport at an open day this weekend.
The event runs from 12 noon till 3pm on Sunday, June 16. Glasses of Pimms will be served, and there will also be live music from the Skelmorlie Skanks.
A club spokesperson said: "We need your support to increase membership numbers so please come along and sign up on the day.
"Without members the club will struggle to continue. It would be a shame to lose this asset in the village. We need you!
"Any bakers wishing to help out with some home baking for cakes on the day, please get in touch."
Anyone who would like to donate prizes for a raffle to be held on the day can contact the club by emailing Skelmorlie.tennis@gmail.com.
The clubhouse will be open from 11am onwards on Sunday.
