It’s been a busy summer for Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club, with events across Ayrshire and further afield.
In July, Hannah and Lorna Todd took part in the Scottish Sprint Championship at Monikie Park, with both bringing home medals. Hannah took bronze and Lorna won gold in their age groups.
Adrian Young took time out his Florida holiday to take part in a local Duathlon and finished the race in first place.
At the Beastie event at Loch Lomond, Hannah was the top female, and Jennifer McCann also took top in her age group in the wee beastie.
Russell Saxby and Sam Cathcart were third and second in their age group in the bike-less beastie while Lorna Todd and Trina Livingstone were first and third in their age group in Aquathon.
Liam Brown completed Outlaw full in 11hrs 3mins, even though the swim was cancelled and replaced by a 5k run.
In August, Heleen, Davie and Mark Auchie took on the Scottish Champs in Aberfeldy. More medals came for Heleen who was first in her age group.
Inverclyde was the same weekend with Hannah and Bethany Ross taking to the podium in the women’s event.
Ross McNaught had two events in two day with British Sprint Champs and Blithfield Triathlon with strong performances at both.
Natalie Jamieson travelled to Eton Dorney to compete in Superhero triathlon. It is the only mass event for people with a disability and she put in a fantastic performance.
Beth Barclay competed her first Ironman full distance event in a fantastic time of 11hrs 20mins in Copenhagen.
Gary Christie also completed Ironman Tallin, which was Gary’s first ever triathlon.
Martin Ross took part in Gullane Beach triathlon, an off road race completed before the weather changed.
New Cumnock saw a host of Ayros taking part in conditions the could only be described as horrific. No medals this time but good performances in the challenging conditions.
Robbie and Trina made the trip to Newcastle to take on Geordieman. Robbie completed the full distance event while Trina took part in the half distance Aquabike.
Knockburn was the host of the Scottish standard distance championship, again with plenty of Ayro presence. Hannah was third overall and first in her age group, Lorna first in her age group and Marc third in his age group.
Fiona O’Dowd and Lindsey Murray took part in the Loch Ken Wild Swim 4km with Rosemary McMillan taking part in the 2km event. Fiona and Lindsey were first and second females in the event.
