The first para-football conference took place last week at the centre with the Sports Minister in attendance to great acclaim for opening up the conversation about the game.

Inverclyde are hosting the RYA Scotland conference this weekend which will feature an awards evening alongside bringing all the key people in the sport together for sharing and learning

The sports centre has had Commonwealth Games gymnasts in for training all week including Olympian Daniel Purvis. They have been making full use of our gymnastics hall and giving us a great display of how strong they are before heading to the Gold Coast next month for the games.

Inverclyde have some spaces in their new block of Baby Massage classes – starting as young as 6 weeks. A great opportunity to learn some relaxing techniques but often, more importantly, to meet other new parents for a coffee at the café!

As ever, fitness classes and community clubs are running throughout the week, check our website for details – all are pay as you go! www.nationalcentreinverclyde.org.uk

During the primary school closure days on the 7,8,9 March the sports centre is running multi-sport camps on all three days to hopefully help some of the parents who might be struggling for time off or just need something for the children to do. The camps are running between 10 and 4 every day, drop off starts at 9.30am and pick up until 4.30pm. The days cost £12.50 and all the children need is a packed lunch and our coaches will look after the rest. A range of activities that everyone will enjoy!

Inverclyde Principal Barry Fleeting said: "Inverclyde is a pretty special place and always has been. We want everyone who visits to have a very positive sporting experience.”
