Largs Golf Club resembled a winter wonderland this morning as the greens were completely white early this morning.
Like ten years ago, we had to wait until March to see snow flurries in the local area with people waking up this morning to some spectacular views, although curiously the Isle of Arran and Goat Fell only had its top edges covered.
Travel disruption has been slight and not even weather related with an early train from Glasgow to Largs cancelled this morning because of a train fault. Meanwhile Amey have cancelled their Hunterston road closure for this weekend. See here
Golf club members were amazed at the contrast from the beautiful conditions of play earlier in the week as the course was covered this AM.
This spectacular shot of swirling snow in the town centre was captured by Jill Cruickshanks just after 7pm last night.
