Dates have been announced for the popular Largs Regatta Festival this summer.

The regatta, a highly anticipated event in the Scottish sailing calendar, will run from August 23 - 31.

There hasn't been much information released about the schedule of the events yet, but a fun treasure hunt in aid of Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust has been announced.

The regatta's Cumbraes Weekend will run on August 24 and 25, and includes keelboat and dinghy racing in Largs Bay, followed by the popular Round Cumbraes Race on the Sunday.

And the highly anticipated Scottish Two Handed Race rounds off the racing action on Saturday, August 31.

On social media, a spokesperson for Largs Yacht Haven said: "Dates for your boat's diary! Not just for racing yachts, Largs Regatta Festival are also running a fun Saturday 'Treasure Hunt' to raise money for EMCTrust."

We previously reported that the 2023 regatta included an expanded racing schedule with a new midweek series for keelboats and dinghies, as well as a cruise-in-company for non-racers.
