Firefighters raced to extinguish a blaze that wrecked a caravan in Kilmarnock and spread to a nearby building.

Two appliances were sent to the scene at Cameron Drive on Tuesday, April 30. 

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, with no casualties reported from the incident. 

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 6.42pm on Tuesday, April 30 to reports of a caravan on fire at Cameron Drive, Kilmarnock.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a caravan which had spread to a nearby building.

“There were no reported casualties and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
