Finance chief's multi million ice slush (Comment on this)

NORTH Ayrshire Council finance chief Alasdair Herbert must be hoping that Gordon Brown gets him off the hook for depositing £15m of our council tax into the vaults of banks in Iceland.

No doubt Mr Herbert paid some external money market advisors (highly remunerated council officials don’t do anything without hiring others to do it for them) to point him in the direction of Iceland.
