Here are details of some of the principals at next year's big show. Watch out for more details in the coming weeks.

* John Scott is playing the character of Augustin Magaldi, a famous Argentine tango singer; a pop star of his day.

John has appeared in many Gilbert and Sullivan productions with the Glasgow Savoy Club. He has also sung extensively with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra Chorus and Scottish Philharmonic Singers, appearing on both radio and television and touring abroad.

John is Principal of Largs Sail Training Association.

* Rachel Scott returns to the stage as Perón's Mistress. The Inverclyde Academy pupil had great fun playing Helen Walsingham in 'Half a Sixpence' in March 2015. In 'Evita' she will appear as the vulnerable young girl who is thrown out into the street by the formidable Eva, leaving her lost and alone.

Now in 6th year Rachel is studying Advanced Higher Music. She enjoys singing and playing the flute and piano.

* Jamie Thomson is playing the part of Ché Guevara. Ché is the narrator of the show and always speaks his mind regardless of what others may be thinking.

Jamie has appeared on stage in the Largs Academy productions of 'Les Miserables' and 'Phantom of the Opera'. He joined LAOS last year for the production of 'Half a Sixpence' where he was one of the shop assistants in Mr Shalford's Emporium.

Jamie's other interests include playing rugby at Ardrossan Rugby Club and playing saxophone in the Strathclyde University Jazz Orchestra.
