Former frontman with Largs band Blind Pew, Andrew McGregor has got together with three other local musicians to create an exciting new band called One Man Town.

Formed in late 2008, the four-piece rock/pop outfit have been rehearsing and recording in their Largs-based studio, Honkytonk Media, and have finished their debut album, 'Everybody's Naked' which is now available on iTunes and other major download sites.

After the break-up of Blind Pew, caused by an unfortunate situation with their record company, Andrew was interested in starting a band with a disco-feel rather than the more blues influence that was the signature sound of the Pew.

With the help of Stuart McArthur on bass, Matt Hickman on guitar and Kay McLaren on drums (and assistance from Andrew's elder brother Stuart) the band have worked hard at making a record that is both danceable but still mainly guitar driven.

They even pricked the interest of a popular New York-based internet site, Powerline AD, who wrote an article about the band and have been one of many to compliment them on their new album.

They have been very busy creating interesting videos for their songs, with the video for 'Say You Do' reaching a thousand views in a matter of days. These videos, and lots of other information, can be found on their website at www.onemantown.com The band plan a tour of the UK later in the year and are looking at organising a gig in Largs in the near future to celebrate the release of the album.

Having gained the support of some of Scotland's top DJ's they hope to bring their melodic, quirky pop to a much wider audience in 2009 and beyond.
