It was a super Sunday for a fundraising event when the second Haylie House fun run and walk took place on Largs seafront recently.
Organiser Gary Ennis said: “A huge thanks to everyone who took part in our family fun run. We had a total of 79 entries, and raised close to £1000 - a great result!” Everyone was welcome, including runners, walkers, cyclists, rollerskaters, dog-walkers and more.
Starting at the Magnus the Viking monument, the 5km route went to just past the Pencil — to the Largs marina road and back — while the 10km route extended out to Fairlie Bowling Club and back via the coastal path. It’s almost all completely flat, so it was a perfect run/walk/cycle for everyone.
All money raised goes to Haylie House Residential Care Home
