The annual Fairlie bonfire and fireworks night will be fizzing at the community gardens on Saturday evening.
As well as a professional firework display from Midnight Storm fireworks, there will be real ales, mulled wine, kids rides, glow toys, hot chocolate, soup, hotdogs and much more, and promises another family fun atmosphere.
The bonfire is lit at 7pm and the fireworks will blaze into the night sky at around 8pm.
Fairlie fireworks is sponsored by Fairlie Gala committee who organise the annual gala weekend in August and the village fireworks each November. They are a group of volunteers, most of whom have, or have had, children at Fairlie Primary.
They are always on the lookout for new recruits, and would like to take this opportunity of asking anyone who might be interested in getting involved (especially with anyone with youngsters in nursery or P1-P4) to contact either Alan Hill on adhill@btconnect.com or 0781 639 4284 or Mick Carr on carr.mick@yahoo.co.uk or 0781 367 9406.
There is no organised public fireworks display taking place in Largs this weekend.
