A spokeswoman for Crossroads Caring Scotland said: ““It is with regret that Crossroads Caring Scotland has taken the decision to close its Largs service on 1st February 2018.  It has been running at a loss for several years due to the low number of clients the service is working with, which is currently 21. These clients receive around 100 hours of care between them each week and unfortunately, it is not sustainable for us to keep the service operating at this level. Eight members of staff will be affected by the closure.
“Crossroads will continue to support service users during this period and will assist, where appropriate, to identify alternative providers and we are also in consultation with staff regarding the future.”
