Important safety information about having the correct lifejacket to wear, and its proper use, could be a life or death situation for boat users.
In preparation for the busy summer season, Largs RNLI are hosting a two day lifejacket clinic at Largs Yacht Haven on the 31st March and 1 April.
These events will provide important information about the correct lifejacket to have and its use along with other important safety tips.
The RNLI will have a special gazebo at the marina on both days from 10am till 4pm.
The whole event is arranged by Largs RNLI community safety officer Allan McClaren.
Similar events have been happening up and down the country and in some places as many as 57% of jackets tested failing due to a variety of reasons.
RNLI spokesman Alasdair Woods said: "RNLI who are engaged principally in saving lives at sea, are currently spreading information in regard to community safety."
