Singers from the acclaimed Largs Operatic will perform in Clark Memorial Church on Friday 18th May.
The Largs Operatic group LAOS Voices, under the baton of musical director Chris Kelly, have had a very successful year entertaining audiences in Largs, Fairlie, Greenock and Irvine.
Their concert 'A Selection Box of Songs' was well received in December. Most recently LAOS Voices sang at St Mary's Church Hall and received a warm welcome and a standing ovation.
LAOS voices will be joined by Ballyclare Male Choir on the special evening.
The choir is based in Ballyclare which is part of the Borough of Newtownabbey and is situated north of Belfast. Long established, and now in its 85th year, it has an enrolment of fifty members. There is still good support from around Ballyclare, Ballynure and Larne but the catchment area extends much further afield with members travelling from Newcastle, Saintfield, Crawfordsburn, Lisburn and Belfast.
All proceeds will go to Christian Aid. The concert is during Christian Aid week.
Tickets priced £8 (Children are free) are available from CMC Office (9.30 to 12.30 Monday to Friday), Halliday Pharmacy or at the door.
