A big charity football match is taking place at Barrfields Park on Friday to raise money to help purchase newly invented spectacles for blind Largs veteran John Hutchinson.
Largs Thistle legends Stephen Quigg and George Wall came up with the idea and set the ball in motion for the charity game after reading about John's plight in the Largs and Millport Weekly News.
The 'News' have linked up with the Royal British Legion's campaign to get the 90 year the spectacles he needs to restore his vision, and be able to see his wife again for the first time in ten years.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:
The game kicks off at Barrfields Park on Friday May 19, with a 7pm kick-off.
A team of Scotland veterans will be playing which includes Quigg and Wall against a team of Largs Thistle supporters which will include plenty of recognisable faces including former defender Robert Wraith.
Thistle President Peter Connor is organising the supporters team, and hopes to play in itself.
He said: "We are hoping Stephen Quigg will play one half for the Scotland veteran side, and one half for Thistle. We are hoping to have one or two old players too, and there should be a few surprises!"
