The search is on this evening for Annie the hen who has 'made a bid for freedom' having tunnelled a getaway from a garden in Aubery Crescent.
Her owners say she has made her exit 'Great Escape' style.
Owner Jane Wilson is in a flap and hopes that she has escaped the dangers of any foxes in the neighbourhood.
She said: "Please post any sightings! If you feel energetic, please catch her!"
Any sightings can be posted on the Largs Pets Facebook page.
