It’s on to the home straight for the “Fore Gowfers” taking part in a 72-hole challenge for a prostate cancer charity at Largs Golf Club.
Despite tough weather on Friday, there has been a steely determination by the determined four as they battle through the course in a bid to complete four rounds in a single day, having started at 5am.
The four members taking part are former Largs Thistle goalkeeper Stephen Connick, Ross Ewing, Mark Fleming and Andy Smith.
There is a cheeseburger barbecue this evening (Friday) from 7pm at Largs Golf Club as well as some fun activities to hopefully raise some extra funds for a great cause.
There will also be some live music in the clubhouse after the golf is finished.
The group set up an online fund-raiser with a £1,000 target, which they quickly reached and passed - and as this article was published they were less than £50 away from reaching four times that total.
