A new exhibition is on display showcasing images from Largs Camera Club - and as these images show, members appear to have "seen red".

Largs Camera Club recently launched its new exhibition at the town's library with the theme of 'Red' .

From telephone boxes to London buses, members put their photographic eye to good use, with some spectacular pictures on display in the community room in Largs Library.

The autumn and winter exhibition is certainly eye-catching and received a positive response at its launch today.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:

Maureen Scholes, of the Camera Club, said: "The event is under the theme of red and it is to bring some colour into the community room which is just bare walls.

"We thought we could bring some colour into it.

"It gives us a reason to take the specific photographs, and we try to keep our themes to Scotland if possible."

Maureen continued: "Largs Camera Club has been going for two years and it takes place on the third Thursday of every month at Brisbane Evangelical Church.

"We have teaching sessions where people learn to use their cameras and we also have guest speakers who come in and speak to us on a variety of subjects."

Largs and Millport Weekly News:

Susan Bamford explained that the exhibition involved everyone sending her the photos and she sent them away to get them printed, before sizing them and put on to canvas, for the lovely display.

She added: "Everyone is invited to come and see our exhibition, and if you like what you see, why not come and join our club?"
