AN AWARD-WINNING takeaway on Largs seafront has wished customers a happy new year - and have explained the reason why they are closed over the coming week.
The Fish Works has won several prestigious awards since it opened on the promenade in 2017 - and is now taking a 'well earned break'.
Co-owner Tiffany Irvin said: "We would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our valued customers for their continued support again this year.
"We are now closed until January 11, whilst the fish market is closed. We are using this time to give our team a well earned break, as this is the only time of the year we close and to give the shop a mini refurbishment."
The business is 'frying high' after being shortlisted at the prestigious National Fish and Chip Awards.
