Residents living in Largs without power since 11pm last night might not have their electricity supply restored this evening.
A series of postcodes in Largs have been without electricity since Storm Isha struck, with SP Energy Networks initially stating they hoped to have power restored by 10pm tonight.
The postcodes affected are: KA308SH, KA308SL, KA308SN, KA308ST, KA308SW.
However, the latest is that households in the areas affected may now not have power restored this evening.
Issued at 5:52pm on Monday, 22nd January, the latest statement from SP Energy Network is as follows: "Our Electricity Network has been impacted by severe weather conditions from Storm Isha. We have managed to restore a number of supplies, however due to the extent of some of the damage to our Network, we may not be able to restore your supply tonight.
"Our engineers will continue to work to restore your supply as quickly as possible, however if you are experiencing any difficulties and feel you would benefit from additional support or require hotel accommodation tonight, please call 105. "We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience."
