COASTGUARD staff have paid a touching tribute to the two men who lost their lives when a tug tragically sank in the Clyde last year.
The incident, on February 24, 2023, claimed the lives of Millport man Ian Catterson, 73, and 65-year-old George Taft of Greenock.
Members of the Greenock coastguard team held a small remembrance service at Custom House Quay on Saturday, February 24, to mark one year since the tug Biter capsized while carrying out her duties off Greenock.
Local coastguard personnel laid a wreath and paid their respects to the two men during the short ceremony.
The Marine Accident Investigation Branch recently announced that it had completed its investigation into the tragedy, and a full report is now being prepared.
