In this week's delve into the archives we take a look back at Easter celebrations in Largs...going as far back as 1976.
Pictured wishing readers a Happy Easter (above) were Kirsty McLaughlin, Keith Bowman, Shelly Mackie, Judith Bryson, Stephen Mackie and Gillian Bryson.

Also pictured were a young Karen Sloss and Marie Chalmers as the little lambs enjoyed a lift for the camera. These photos were taken by former News snapper Grahame Ross.

Staying in the 1970s, the Peggy Inglis School of Dance, which is still going strong today, was in its early years, and all the youngsters certainly looked the part for their big production.

And we jump forwards to the 1980s as Cumbrae pupils had varying fits as they sported their Easter bonnets for the visit of island snapper Walter Kerr for the special tradition at the primary.

And last year St Columba's Parish Church in Largs very much got into the spirit of things with an Easter inspired fun day, with Reverend Dr Graham McWilliams also present for the happy photo.
