Police are investigating reports of an assault close to Largs seafront which took place earlier this month.
According to a report given to Largs Community Council by Police Scotland, the worrying incident. which happened on the promenade involved an assault, and possession of a knife on April 8.
No other details were given in the report, but it was pointed out that the matter was undetected.
The report highlighted several assaults which took place in Largs during the past month, including an incident in the Main Street on March 20, and another in Eastern Avenue which included verbal threats.
An assault was detected and a person charged in connection with an incident in the town's Boyd Street on April 13.
