The driver of the lorry which crashed into a block of flats in Fairlie two and a half years ago, was unconscious at the wheel at the time of the accident, it has been revealed this week.

On February 14 2013, a lorry ploughed into Curneil Villas, killing 55 year old Catherine Bonner.

A lengthy police investigation followed, resulting in a man from Carluke, being charged in connection with dangerous driving and causing the death of Ms Bonner.
