Largs man Michael McGowan started up Largs Piping Club this year for anyone wanting to play or learn to play bagpipes.
The club caters for every standards of player from absolute beginner, anyone who used to play and would like to get back into playing, right through to those who play and would like to play with other pipers or would like to improve their technique and music repertoire. All ages. 
Michael, who is a resident of Braeside Avenue, was the piper to welcome back Abby Kane for her homecoming from the Paralympics last year when she obtained her silver medal in swimming.
The Largs man has been teaching for over 10 years, currently tutoring at the National Piping Centre evening classes in Glasgow,also at the Boys Brigade and previously at the College of Piping in Glasgow.
Michael also teaches in local schools in Largs and runs the Largs Piping Club for adult students as well as teaching a number of personal students throughout the West of Scotland.
