An event Largs Library on Tuesday 28th November at 2pm to listen to award winning investigative journalist, author, radio broadcaster and film maker Neil Mackay has had to be cancelled.
MacKay was a launch editor of the Sunday Herald newspaper. His last film, an investigation into the rise of the far right in Europe and America, was nominated for a BAFTA. He has written for the Sunday Herald, The Observer and Scotland on Sunday.
Neil was due to be talking about his historical epic The Wolf Trial. Inspired by a true story, it tells the tale of Peter Stumpf, the world's first serial killer, who was captured in Germany in the 1500s: his crimes were so great he was tried as a werewolf.
The library stated: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret to announce the visit from Neil MacKay has been cancelled."
