RNLI Tea The Largs fund-raising branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is holding its early Christmas Afternoon Tea at the Clark Memorial Church hall on Friday 23 November, 2 - 4pm. There will be music, various stalls and light refreshments available.

Episcopal Yuletide St Columba"s Scottish Episcopal Church in Aubery Crescent will be holding their ever-popular yuletide afternoon in the church hall between 2 and 4pm on Saturday 1 December. Stalls to include baking and gifts. The entrance fee of �1.50 includes tea/coffee, mince pie, Christmas cake or shortbread.

Craft Fayre The annual Largs Home Crafters Christmas Craft Fayre will be held in Largs Library over three days, Thursday 22 - Saturday 24 November, 10am - 4pm. Go along to enjoy the unique friendly spirit of this event, with its display of handcrafted gifts by local craftspeople.

Clark Memorial Fayre The annual Clark Memorial Church Fayre will take place in the church hall on Saturday 24 November between 10am and 12noon, and 1 and 3pm. Christmas stalls, gifts, handicrafts, table decorations, leather goods, jewellery etc. Santa will be in his grotto and there will be face painting and games for youngsters.

St John"s Fayre St John"s Church Christmas Fayre is to be held in Dunn Memorial Hall between 10am and 12.30pm, and 1.30 - 3pm. All welcome. �1 admission. Santa will be busy, as he plans to have a grotto.

Praise and Worship This week"s Saturday Night Praise and Worship at Brisbane Evangelical Church in School Street (starting 7pm) will feature "Crosswords", a group consisting of over 20 members who have played at numerous events, including annually at Princes Square on Christmas Eve and at various venues in the USA. They lead worship using contemporary Christian music, meditations, poetry and dialogue. The speaker will be Tom Stables.

Largs Thistle Family Day Largs Thistle are allowing all children accompanied by an adult into Saturday"s league match for free. Thistle play Lesmahagow at Barrfields Park on Saturday at 1.45pm kick-off.

Give Blood The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service are inviting local residents to donate blood when their mobile donating team visit the Dunn Memorial Hall on Thursday 6 December, 2.30 - 3.45pm and 5.15 - 7.30pm. Remember: every day the service needs 1000 units of blood to meet demand to treat patients in Scottish hospitals. Please give blood - the only thing you"ll feel is good about yourself!

Brass Band Kilmarnock Concert Brass Band are calling for brass players to join them. Rehearsals are on Wednesday and Friday evenings in the band room at Samson Avenue, Kilmarnock. The band have been privileged over the years to work with many outstanding performers and conductors. During its 37 year existence the band has developed its own players with a senior band, "b" band and "c" band, thus ensuring continuity. Mobile Travel Centre Strathclyde Partnership for Transport"s mobile travel centre promotes public transport, providing people in rural areas with information on local rail and bus services, express and long-distance coach services, short stay breaks and local ferry services. On Thursday November 29 the centre visits the pier car park in Wemyss Bay between 10am and 1pm, and on the same day between 2 and 4pm visits Largs railway station car park.
