Largs Academy dux is a model pupil

Largs Academy's dux has hit the catwalk in Milan and has been singled out as one of 'Scotland's brightest hopes for supermodel stardom'.

While modest 17 year old Heather Mackay from Skelmorlie describes herself as 'scruffy, gangly, and beanpole', this image is in stark contrast to the plaudits she has been receiving.

She has appeared for a photoshoot for the United Colours of Benetton, and posed for a range of photos which have appeared on the Italian vogue.com website.
