AFTER almost 40 years as editor of the Largs & Millport Weekly News Drew Cochrane has taken early retirement.
Coming in as Acting Editor today (Monday) is David Carnduff who, amazingly, started his long journalistic career with the Largs paper. He is former editor of the Greenock Telegraph.
Drew will be editorial consultant with the newspaper company whose Ayrshire office is now based in Ardrossan....where Drew began his career in 1969.
Drew said: “David is the perfect choice to take over the editor’s chair having had a lifelong attachment to the Largs area.”
