Largs residents will get the chance to give their views on the best way to revitalise the town’s promenade and the town centre.

North Ayrshire Council will hold two drop-in sessions at St Columba’s Parish Church, Gallowgate Street, giving the public the chance to voice their opinions on the improvements they would like to see to the town’s promenade.

The first event will take place on Tuesday 20 January from 1pm till 5.30pm. and Wednesday 21 January, between 2pm and 7pm.

Views will not be confined to the promenade, and residents will also be able to help shape the future of a number of other locations, such as Main Street, Gallowgate Square and Aubery Park.

The ideas gathered from the drop-in sessions will form part of a design ‘masterplan’ which will be used as the blueprint for the implementation of a series of phased capital improvements over a number of years.

Councillor Marie Burns, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: “This is a great opportunity for local residents and community groups to share their views and vision for the future of Largs.”
