Largs man Stephen Weiss has asked for information about the background to the Largs Academy mural.

Appealing for information on the Largs News Facebook page, Stephen wrote: "With recent talk of a new campus for Largs Academy, and redevelopment of the existing site for housing, does anyone happen to know the story of the concrete relief mural on outside of the west facing wall of the assembly hall? I’ve spent my entire lunch hour searching on Google but found absolutely nothing!"
