In an unusual incident, police received reports of a quantity of drugs which were randomly found in Boyd Street, Largs, by a concerned citizen. It is believed to possibly be heroin. The discovery was made at 11am on Tuesday 3 March, and the drugs are being sent away for analysis by police.

Two bottles of vodka, and a litre of whisky were stolen from a premises near Largs promenade between 7.30pm and 7.45pm on Tuesday 3 March. The thief was desccribed as aged 40-50, slim build, five foot 7 with dark trousers, and a cream and black jacket.

And two pairs of jeans,valued at £70 in total, were stolen from a premises in Largs town centre. Police have issued a description of two suspects of Asian origin, male and female, both aged 35-50, and heavy build. The woman was wearing a dark coloured skirt, while the man was wearing a blue top and jeans.

A 31 year old man from Greenock has been reported for possession of cannabis within Nelson Street, Largs at 4pm last Thursday.

Police are investigating vandalisms to properties in Largs. A four foot by two double glazed window was smashed in Eastern Avenue between 2.30pm and 5.30pm on Friday.

And the glass panel of a door in New Street, Largs, was smashed overnight between Saturday and Sunday.

A man has been reported for crashing a Ford C-max car in Nelson Street, at around 10.30pm on Saturday. He escaped without injury, but was reported for driving without due care and attention.
