A thief broke into a pub, and raided the fruit machines, before making off with approximately £1000 worth of coins.

The incident happened at 5.25am last Wednesday at McCabes bar in Hyndman Green, Largs. A 29 year old man has been arrested in connection with the theft, although not all the money has been recovered.

Police are investigating a window smash at a pub near Largs seafront last Friday.

A 6 foot x 3 pane of glass was smashed at Potters bar in Gallowgate Street at around 6pm - a total of £400 in damage was caused.

The man who was involved was aged between 30-40, and refused to leave the premises when requested to do so.

Police enquiries are continuing into the incident.

An Audi A3 car was stolen from Flatt Road in Largs between 10pm on 31 March and 7am on 1 April.

The vehicle has been recovered, and police are following a positive line of enquiry into the incident.

A stolen car was smashed into an embankment in Skelmorlie between 10.30pm on Tuesday 31 March and 3.50am on 1 April.

The vehicle was recovered, but it was a write-off after the accident damage. Enquiries are continuing into the incident.
