The new Largs Food Festival on 23 and 24 May will feature in a new television ad to promote the town.

Explore Largs - the business group in the town - has been busy making the town’s TV advert for transmission from mid-May.

The sun shone as many of Largs’ businesses and attractions were filmed, complete with summer clad locals joining in the fun.

With clever angles and shots from the prom, ice creams, putting and horse trekking to water sports, restaurants, pubs, shops and our iconic landmarks, they were all filmed to give a fast-moving snap shot of Largs as a day trip and short break destination.

John Hamilton, the BID Manager, who co-ordinates the marketing of Largs, said: “Part of the remit of Explore Largs is to remind people that Largs is here and a great place to visit.” He continued: “It’s no longer the case that, if it’s sunny it’s going to be busy. We have so many more towns and attractions to compete with including The Kelpies at Falkirk, Loch Lomond, Ayr and Troon as well as the countless attractions and riverside restaurants in Glasgow.” The advert will be broadcast on STV to highlight the town and Largs Food Fest which will be staged on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May, the latest event devised by Explore Largs to attract people to Largs.
