A police officer was injured after attending to a call in Largs late at night last month.
The incident happened at 1am on Sunday 7 June, with the PC allegedly headbutted in the face while arresting a 26 year old man in the Main Street.
A spokesman for the police said: “The officer sustained severe bruising to his left eye, No further treatment was required.” The matter was raised during the recent Largs Community Council meeting when police detailed the matter in their monthly report.
