Cumbrae Primary School sent their good well wishes to Angie Malone, Paralympic Curler and her team. Angie and her team are heading to South Korea at the weekend for a two week tournament to compete in the World Championships (Team Scotland). All the children with Scotland flags are cheering Team Scotland on.

Angie made history in 2006 when she was a member of Great Britain’s Wheelchair Curling team at the Winter Paralympics in Turin, Italy. That year was Wheelchair Curling’s debut at the Paralympics. The sportswoman has visited Cumbrae Primary in the past to display her silver and bronze medals from Turin 2006 and Sochi 2014 respectively.

Angie is also a Patron of “Ayrshire Sportsability,” a charity that employs sport a means to support and inspire young people with a disability.

Also "The Mega Club" has re-started. Volunteers Elizabeth McDavid, Megan Kennedy,Donna Smilie and Lorna Mathews who have volunteered to help run the club on a Thursday at Cumbrae Primary Gym Hall from 3pm-4pm. All pupils from P1-P4 can attend.

This club has a variety of sports etc to choose from including, tennis, football, basketball, curling, orienteering, table tennis, arts and crafts and many more.
